Katarzyna Pawęska graduated from The Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy Agricultural University in Wrocław, Poland in 2002 and received Ph.D. in agricultural science (specialty: wastewater treatment plant) in 2006. Katarzyna from the beginning of her career is associated with the Institute of Environmental Engineering, since 2018 has been working as associate prof. of Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Science. Katarzyna has authored more than 60 papers, H-index of 6.
The main aim of conducted research was the preliminary assessment of changes in the physicochemical composition of water in the city moat reservoirs regarding to type of pollutant flowing into inner-city water reservoirs as well as regarding to air quality in the immediate vicinity of the reservoir. The research object was the complex of reservoirs (remains of the city moat) located in the centre of a large city in Central Europe (Wrocław, Poland).
