The main aim of conducted research was the preliminary assessment of changes in the physicochemical composition of water in the city moat reservoirs regarding to type of pollutant flowing into inner-city water reservoirs as well as regarding to air quality in the immediate vicinity of the reservoir. The research object was the complex of reservoirs (remains of the city moat) located in the centre of a large city in Central Europe (Wrocław, Poland).
